The Green Line will be a 20 km LRT line running partly underground from Eau Claire in the city centre towards the southeast, initially to Lynnwood/Millican and later to Shepard. Unlike the two existing lines, the new line will be operated with low-floor vehicles. In a later stage, a northern extension along Centre Street is planned (total lenght 46 km).
