km, 41 stops Through Phoenix city centre, between Roosevelt and 24th Street, the light rail line runs along parallel streets, southbound on 1st Avenue and Jefferson Street, and northbound on Washington Street and Central Avenue. Operated by Valley Metro PHX Sky Train™ - opened 8 April 2013 between Metro's 44th St/Washington St station and the airport's Terminal 4, extended to Terminal 3 on 8 Dec 2014, and eventually to Rental Car Center (3.5 km) on 20 Dec 2022. In late 2017, construction of the Tempe Streetcar began, which opened on 20 May 2022 (4.8 km, partly without catenary).
