The system developed by the company Leitner is similar to a funicular railway, but with rubber-tyred cabins that are hauled by a moving rope, but detach from it while stopping in a station. The motor for the rope is installed at the upper terminus Pincetto. The line is double-track, with the trains running on metal beams at a minimum headway of 60 seconds. |
