Line
U5 is currently under construction from Rathaus to Frankhplatz - Altes AKH,
while the section between Rathaus and Karlsplatz will be taken over from the
existing line U2 when U5 starts service as a driverless metro in around 2024.
By then, the existing stations will be equipped with platform screen doors.
